- Extend the pole to length so that you can reach the object to be pruned
- Raise the pole, let the saw blade rest on the target branch
- Estimate how the branch will fall, be sure you are in a safe place
- Have the RC in hand like below pictures, so you still can handle the pole with two hands
- Eye on the saw. Do not pull with much force. Engage the throttle
